The Ydro Process® is patented and protected by a Secrecy Act in order to prevent the disclosure of our unique technology. This cannot be revealed or submitted to clients.
The guaranteed shelf life of our microorganisms is three months, provided that it is stored in an ambient room temperature with low humidity.
All products are manufactured in the premises of Hydrotech Environmental in Greece. The production process is soon to be accredited by the ISO 9001 standards for quality management.
This information is confidential and cannot be published. The products are a mixture of microbial strains that are modified according to the waste to be treated. They are pure cultures, naturally occurring and have not been genetically altered.
The product Ydro 20 is a specialised product which has been formulated to treat sewer grid and collection systems. It cleans out the piping, pumping stations and manholes, eliminating rising grid odours and decomposing organic matter. Basic parameters such as BOD, COD, SS, are reduced by at least 60% to 90%.
Yes, a specific product has been developed for this purpose. Degrading organic compounds and breaking down fats, oils and grease, the product eliminates odours without harming any metal, ceramic, plastic, or concrete equipment. This has been particularly useful to large scale projects, including shopping centres and hotels, as well as domestic application.
The addition of microbial products as a technology has been applied for at least 40 years in the field of municipal and industrial wastewater processing. Whilst there are various companies offering biotech products, there are no direct competitors who can offer similar results or the same overall effectiveness. Our client retention is the strongest endorsement of the results achieved.
The microbial population has been measured to be 107 to 108 CFU/gram. This is easily modified and can be increased according to requirements. Once the dry microorganisms have been soaked and allowed to reach the maturation stage, the population typically doubles every 20 to 30 minutes.
The application of microorganisms is carried out by the plant / facility operator on a daily basis in order to keep the culture count at a certain level. In septic tanks and cesspools, the dosing is once a week.
The ideal condition requires the presence of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and micronutrients in the wastewater. Prior to an application, laboratory tests are suggested to determine a nutrient deficiency. Urea and Triple-super Phosphate are used to create the ideal ratio of COD:N:P which is 100:5:1 or even 200:5:1.
The Ydro Process® works in all oxygen conditions (i.e. oxic, anoxic and facultative), with levels varying due to the facility setup and wastewater treated.
When operating at a wastewater treatment facility, the first indication in terms of sludge minimisation, is normally observed during the 1st – 2nd week of application. Odour reduction can be observed within the first days of application.
The cost varies depending on the wastewater treatment facility and setup. The typical saving is between 25% - 30% of the total costs related to sludge management. This is achieved though large energy cost reductions in the drying process, as well as costs associated with sludge transport and haulage. Any product cost is offset by the large savings achieved.
The ideal pH range for the application of the Ydro Process® microorganisms is 6 – 9. However, this can be altered according to local conditions of each case.
